Q. How will my associates know what education courses they are required to take?
A. With the OhioHealth University learning management system (LMS), we assign courses to all associates or groups of associates. These assignments can be made to individual associates, all associates in a given cost center, associates in an entire business entity, or all associates across central Ohio in a particular job code or function. When they log on to the system, they will see the list of courses they are required to complete and when they are due.

Q. What types of reports can I access?
A. At the department level, the following reports are available:
- Completion Report – shows which students have or have not completed assigned courses. The report can be configured for a comprehensive summary or as a detailed grid of selected students and courses.
- Department Progress Report – presents data to show completion rates for each course.
- Delinquency Report – shows which students have failed to complete specific assignments on time.

Q. When do I have to pay an associate to take training? Do I have to pay more than the allotted time or can I pay less?
A. An associate must be paid for the time they spend completing education that we require them to take. If any of your associates need to complete their ACE or other mandatory courses outside of their scheduled work time, they will be paid according to the published completion rates for each course regardless of how long it actually takes them to complete the course. Here are the completion times for these courses:

Q. What happens if an associate doesn’t pass the post-test on a required course?
A. If an associate does not pass, he or she should be directed to review the course again and re-take the test. An associate may take the course and post-test as often as they need to, however, they will only be paid for the first review and test.

Q. Do newly hired or transferred associates need to complete the Annual Compliance Education (ACE) courses?
A. New associates experience ACE content in the form of ICE (Initial Compliance Education). ICE courses will be assigned to all new hires.
Transferred associates need to complete ACE courses only if they have not done so in their former department. This can be checked by creating a Completion Report for your department after the transferred associate arrives.
